Lichfield

Two days ago we managed to turn around at a little place called Stone and now we're slowly meandering back to where we started, Alvecote, where we will return the barges tomorrow. Thanks to my dads quick thinking, we didn't visit all of the villages we passed on the way there, so we still had a tad of sight seeing to do on the way home.

Today we stopped at Whittington, from which we took a bus to Lichfield, which is undoubtedly the largest village we've seen so far. The village itself was really old and beautiful and was filled with quaint little stores and food stalls(excluding the Macdonalds of course). Highlights for the parents included an old fifteenth century cathedral, a little fleemarket, and for my mom-an antique store. Unfortunately, we didn't remember to take any pics there, but on the way back, we did manage to make a new friend.
