I don't know why everybody is constantly complaining about the English weather. It has been scorchingly hot every day that we have been here. We've resorted to swimming - and receiving many strange looks - in the grubby, tepid canal water. The girls have been sunbathing on the roof of our barge, the metal of which is too hot to stand on alot of the time. The TV is even issuing warnings that people should be careful to avoid DYING from the heat. Where is the rain ? I know I could do with some...

I have to say though, that the canal is pretty rank, and there is this rude squishy poop-like stuff on the bottom which makes for a really good mud fight.

They do however have some pretty weird signs here, including these guys:

They grow the cows really big out here. Me and runt have been seriously looking into going out one night for a bit of cow-tipping.
